As I bid farewell to Lincoln, NE, I am tempted to post this picture of the magnificent NE state Capitol building.
Also thanks to Megan989, who liked an old post of mine of a zoomed shot of the capitol building in Lincoln, NE, I decided to rummage through my pictures file to find this one. I shot this almost a year and a half ago when I decided to go take a look at the capitol building from the inside.
Its a truly magnificent structure and will post some stunning pictures of the interior as well soon. The building built in 1920 is the third such construction on this site. For more information go to http://www.capitol.org/
If not the tallest building in Lincoln then it is definitely the most prominent one and you can see it as soon as your airplane descends into the Lincoln area.
